PROJECT TITLE:
Cyber Chase
GAME ENGINE:
Unity 3D
PLATFORM:
PC
ROLE:
Lead 2D/3D Artist
Cyber Chase is a hide-and-sneak puzzle game where you play as a stealthy hacker traversing through the levels of an evil tech corporation. As you progress through the maze-like infrastructure, you can manipulate your environment to escape patrol bots and evade the gaze of the all-powerful cyber eye!
For this project, I acted as the lead artist. I established the overall art direction and drafted concepts for the characters and the environment, and after the ideation had been cemented, my work consisted of 3D character modeling and animation.
Cyber Eye Animation
This is the omni-present antagonist in Cyber Chase textured and animated to demonstrate it's sporadic behavior in search for intruders.
Cyber Eye Wireframe
Mesh breakdown of the cyber eye. Modeled, textured, and animated using Blender.
Patrol Unit Attack Animation
Once the player is spotted, this enemy drone transitions from its seemingly harmless bipedal mode to its more threatening snatch-and-grab quadruped configuration.
Patrol Unit Pursuit
While the player is within view, this robot follows in pursuit with an "I'm gonna getchya" attitude.
Patrol Unit Idle Walk
This is how the enemy drone normally patrols the map when the player is not detected by their sensors.
Patrol Unit Wireframe
Modeled, animated, and textured within Blender, this character was created with two separate rigs to compensate for its transformative behavior.
Protagonist Head
For the player character, the design team thought the simplest method of representation was to use a low-poly geometric head as the player's holographic avatar.
Player Character Wireframe
Topology breakdown of the player character. Like the other two characters, the protagonist was modeled and textured using Blender.
